Senator Chukwumerije is a two-term senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and one of the few best known across the country for their principled and dogged defence of ordinary people of Nigeria. An erudite scholar, he was one of the Nigerian legislators who frustrated the 'third term' agenda of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
