Self-Sponsored Projects by the Senator

 

  1. Sponsored 82 women and less privileged in skill acquisition through NDE in the 5 LGAs and gave money to graduands. (2004)
  2. Donated 59 motorcycles for a recycle scheme in all the wards of Abia North, March, 2005.
  3. Procured and distributed fifteen sewing machines, hair dryers and wheel barrows to each of the five LGAs of Abia North. (2005)
  4. Sponsored the training of 400 women of Abia North on new frontiers in cassava farming / production through NRCRI, Umudike, and gave a token of N5000 each on completion. (2005/2006)
  5. Established a pilot project of block molding and palm kernel oil mill in Umunneochi LGA.
  6. Donated 22 motorcycles to the 22 man committee in Umunneochi.
  7. Purchased and distributed 95 mobile phones and 50 sim cards for constituents (2007) – 50 m-tel sim packs and handsets (2006), 45 handsets (2007).
  8. Annual scholarship given to six constituents in Umunneochi as a first phase of zonal scholarship scheme which formally took off in 2008.
  9. Donated 25 motorcycles (5 per LGA), shared as follows: youths (2), NUT (1), NURTW (1), NULGE (1).
  10. Registered 10 multipurpose cooperative societies – 2 in each LGA.
  11. Built and donated a Cathedral to Ngodo Methodist Church.
